Speaking of posterity...Gabriele, 11 years old in less than 20 days, Gen Alpha (2012-present), believes that his generation is enslaved and even more dependent on technology, which has partly influenced the complete overthrow of the entire social system in recent decades, he sees the previous generation as better, in the sense of more free, probably the middle ground between analogue and digital can give the idea that people born and raised in that era, can see things from a broader perspective. The same can't be said for the parents of millennials, according to Gabri, strict and bigoted, back then there were too many rules to follow and "you had to stand up straight", he says as he straightens up like a little soldier. A boy's retrospective on the approach of early adolescence is revealing. "Among people my age, I can say that I don't see many creative people, I mean, I don't see the spark", but in some cases, Gabri believes that it's just a matter of recognising it, "for example, now I don't know if I am or not".
Creativity needs to be applied to our potential passions so that we can develop and refine them, in the first phase of our lives the most important people who can positively influence this educational process are certainly our parents: "I see myself in my father because he is a person who has a lot of imaginative ideas in his head and does not keep them to himself, but expresses them, through art he makes a small change in the world”.
A child's concept of art can be enlightening in its simplicity : -Art lies in a person's wonder at an extraordinary creation.-
Astrophysicist, cartoonist and philosopher are three of the professions Gabri sees as possible future jobs in his child's imagination, certainly very different from each other, the common denominator is definitely great commitment as well as dedication: "In the case of a career in astrophysics, I would like to become a figure who can make an effective contribution to science, even the cartoonist puts in a lot more effort than a simple hobby like mine might be now".Philosophical thinking is still unexplored territory for the time being, but stimulates Gabri's imagination, in any case the seriousness with which he cares about the future is impressive.
"I am amazed when I see a garden full of roses, quiet, with no one around, a pink ground with all the little flowers, it sounds stupid but when you think about it, don't they arouse a feeling, an emotion!?”
For Gabri, one emotion contains many others...
